Almost Done!

I was recently studying D&C 3 and 10 where the Lord was chastizing Joseph Smith for losing the 116 pages. Then with love, He told him that he was forgiven and could start translating again. Then came the advice: "Nevertheless, it is now restored unto you again; therefore see that you are faithful and continue on unto the finishing of the remainder of the work of translation as you have begun. Do not run faster or or labor more that you have strength and means provided to enable you to translate; but be diligent unto the end. Pray always..." D&C 10:3-4.

I made a list of all the life lessons learned in these two chapters and the one I want to share with you is this: Finish what you start, know your capacity and pace yourself.

I took this to heart with regard to my "project" (my personal history). I have found that a little here and a little there has turned out to be a big accomplishment. I am almost finished, which is something I never really visualized. I am so happy to be at this point, seeing the end in sight. It has been a pleasure for me to revisit the past and realize how involved Heavenly Father has been in my life in little and in big things. I leave this post with another encouragement to all: "write it down, take a picture and remember." Have a Happy Day.

I am so excited to see this finished project and learn more about your life and about you! Thank you for doing this. I love keeping my family history through my scrapbooks. It brings me so much joy to remember all the wonderful things about my life.

I enjoy your writing so much. Two of my favorites are the story about washing your dad's feet and the story about feeding the horse an onion. I'd love to reread these favorites and all the new things you've completed should you choose to share.
