We Have Everything

It was bedtime and my daughter, Carrie, was helping 8 year old Eliza through the bedtime rituals. Eliza was tucked into her bed, covered with her quilt, her stuffed pet, Rascal, nestled safely under her little arm when her mom asked:

"What do you want Santa to bring you for Christmas this year?"
Eliza scanned the room with her bright blue eyes, took a deep breath and with a big smile and shaking her head said "I just don't know, because I already have everything!"

As a child, Eliza found the fullness of her life in her lovely bedroom with a closet full of clothing, and shelves filled with books and toys. She felt the love of her family and a great sense of well being so Eliza does have everything. As I thought about it I realized that we too have everything because we have everything that counts; great family, great friends and The Gospel of Jesus Christ which blesses our lives every day.
This pic of Eliza is just before her baptism when she received her Scriptures.
