Over the Hill? Not a chance!

This is the latest in a series of Birthday Celebrations at Fudruckers hamburger place. We gathered at 6:30pm on Friday night to honor the patriarch of the family. We love to have parties here because it is entertaining for the children and the adults both. Here is the beginning, before the food arrived. We had a great time visiting while the children gobbled up grampy's quarters for the games. Thanks to all who came. We love you.

This is after we were all full of good food and cupcakes. I caught everybody off guard. Poor Abby has Chris' hand over her face. Pretty funny looks on everyone.

The next night we went to dinner with our friends, Susie (David) John, Skip, Bonnie and Prim. They are the dinner and movie group. Then we went to see a Mormon movie "One Good Man". It was surprisingly real and surprisingly good. It is about a family man who was called to be the Bishop. It is about choices and complications in life. We enjoyed every minute of it. I can say "been there, done that." We recommend it to all.
Sunday, our Relief Society President, Lori, gave the Bishop, David, a beautiful coconut cake. I should have taken pictures. We invited the Bishopric and RS presidency and a couple of others to help us eat it Sunday night after Choir practice. It was the end of the birthday celebrations and the end of a long Bishoping week; funeral, wedding, meetings, teaching classes and everything in between. I must say David still looks great and can still "kick it"! Happy Birthday Baby!

Things your mother didn't know

Recently, after having a surgery, I became well acquainted with wound care. Here is the latest in that department.
1. Wounds need to be covered and kept warm so always use a BandAid etc.
2. Letting a wound dry out prolongs the healing. Air is the enemy.
3. Keep the wound moisturized at all times.
4. Continual or daily use of antibacterial ointments will cause a rash.
5. Vaseline is a good moisturizer.
Just thought this might be helpful.
Have a happy day.
